We’ve all had that moment when our cherished mobile device departs from our hand without prior warning and hits the floor or skitters dangerously across a tabletop. In these moments, we may feel powerless and frantic. After all, most people have no idea how to fix their phone in the event that they damage it. The natural reaction may be to just scrap a damaged phone entirely and stomach the cost of a new one. But not for the folks at iCracked.

iCracked Revives Phones

iCracked is a new startup company which fixes broken iPhones. You may be saying “great, but the Apple store does that too.” The difference is the iCracked makes house calls. That’s right, instead of spending hours waiting for an Apple genius to get around to you, you can get in touch with iCracked and have them repair your phone while you reacquaint yourself with the home phone that you stopped using about five years ago.

iCracked specializes in repairing cracked screens – a very common plight among iPhone users. However, their technicians are also capable of performing other repair duties. iCracked employees, who are known as “iTechs” are located in 11 different countries at present, although not all of them make house calls. Additionally, if you don’t live in a densely populated area, you may be less likely to have an iTech within practical distance. Still, the company is expanding rapidly and seems to be a model business which may spawn similar competitors.
